Corner Aquarium Volume Calculators
Corner tanks have two straight panels that meet at a right angle so the tank can sit against two walls. What differs is the front: a flat panel makes a corner prism, a shallow curve makes a corner bow front and a full quarter-circle arc makes a corner cylinder.

How corner tanks are measured
Measure the wall sides from the inside corner outward. For curved fronts, also measure how far the curve bulges from a straight line between the two wall ends. If that bulge is about 29% of the straight line, the front is a quarter circle.
Formula differences
Corner prism: ½ × a × b × H. Corner cylinder: π × r² × H ÷ 4. Corner bow front: (S² ÷ 4 + π × S × B ÷ 4) × H, a right triangle plus a half-ellipse.
Common mistakes
- Measuring the curved or front panel instead of the wall sides.
- Using the corner cylinder calculator for a shallow-curved corner bow front.
- Assuming the two wall sides are equal without checking.
